Friday. After a long hard week, it’s always nice to take a moment to reflect upon the week’s events as we look forward to a Friday night filled with movies, pizza, baseball games…and maybe some Zestrafied sex?

On Monday, we had the opportunity to sponsor a chat about relationships, body image, and sex on TheMotherhood.com. We were literally ROFL from all the stories, saggy boob comments, and candid remarks like “we’re not ‘doing it’ as often as the rest of parents.” As evidenced by the enthusiastic participation in the live chat, women are itching to talk about sex – and sexual desire – with a group whom they trust and admire (lead by the almighty Mominatrix). And, it’s comforting to learn on chats like this that you’re not alone, especially if it feels like your sex drive suddenly went on vacation. There are many other women out there, with children, husbands and a whirlwind of responsibilities, who have at one time or another experienced challenges with sexual desire, through no fault of their own.

Fortunately, the topic of women’s sexual desire is finally getting some much deserved media attention. Today, the FDA is reviewing Flibanserin, a pill that was originally tested as an anti-depressant and later found to have an impact on female sexual desire. We wrote about Flibanserin earlier this year because any contribution to the conversation about female sexual satisfaction is fabulous from our point of view.

Because, whether you want to stick with a natural, non-hormonal product like Zestra® or to talk to your doctor about a new medicine in development, we can’t help but get excited about women having their voices heard. And here at Zestra, we’ll keep striving to provide sexual satisfaction for more women while helping to create an open, non-judgmental forum for women everywhere to talk to each other and to learn more about how get their sexy back. As one motherhood chat participant stated, “Just because we’re moms doesn’t mean we aren’t sexy. It just takes us a little longer to get the underwear on and off.”

Well if you live anywhere in the frozen landscape of the Northeast, spring is certainly not in the air. But just turn on your TV, and sex certainly is in the air. Dr. Oz talking about how to have the “Big O” after 40. In case you missed our favorite episode, check out Feb 8 episode, and hear Dr. Laura Berman recommend Zestra as the only proven product to improve orgasm. You go girl.

And the crew on “The Doctors” had a “Battle of the Sexes” with the age-old questions. Are men obsessed with big breasts? After a boisterous panel discussion, the answer – some are. What a breakthrough observation.

And just when you thought that you had enough helpful tips, Rachael Ray talked about “Sex after 50.” With her usual energy and enthusiasm, Rachael explored a range of potential options. I didn’t really get the dental floss and eggs, but Rachael recommended it as a nice treat for your Easter baskets. Talk about a new twist on a traditional holiday.

Everyday, there is more news about Flibanserin seeking FDA approval to help desire disorder. We wish them the best. Any contribution to the conversation about female sexual satisfaction is fabulous from our point of view.

No matter where you live, buried under a mound of snow or sunning on the beach, remember that you deserve sexual satisfaction!!!!!! In the spirit of the Olympics, just get in the game. Create your own medal ceremony!!!!!
